Aala Hazrat Khwaja Pir Muhammad Zahid Khan Sahib known enmdearingly as Pir Khan, gharibunnawaz was a real spiritualist of par excellence, a friend of Allah Almighty. But he himself never laid claim to this spiritual privilege or position.he passed his life in simple ways with manners honorable.
This is not a claim. It is a fact. Its basis: (1) Pir Khan Sahib remained in his whole life piety-punctual, (2) practicing upon the sayings of the Holy Priphet Muhammad (SLM), (3) Quran focused conversation with all- simple, easy to understand for the illiterate, meaningfully understandable for the literate, Islamically philosophical for the scholars (just one reference: the 1982 meeting of philosopher/lawyer A.K Brohi with his team of scholars with Aala Hazrat Pir Khan Sahib, at Mohra Sharif, Murree, and of course of others also during his worldly life), (4) Hazrat’s humane behavior and treatment and extra caring/filially patronizing conduct with the poor, with the society-spurned individuals whom this world does not give any societal importance, (5) spiritual accommodation for all, high or low, (6) respect to and for humanity (as per commandment: ‘there is no compulsion in religion’), (7) practicing neighborhood, (8) very generous in delegating spiritual wealth to whoever met him for this purpose, (9) delivering only religiously/socially required extent of conversation, (10) possessing before hand knowledge of the problems and needs of humans in his spiritual allegiance, (11) spiritual power of helping his devotees/disciples/deputies even from physical distances, (12) strictness on practicing Quranic/Sunnah principles, (13) mercifulness for animals, (14) safely care for natural vegetations/environment, wateruse, herbal upkeep, (15) observance of all holy days, (16) pacticing undimidished and unreserved use of the wealth of forgiveness, reward and rectification, (17) visible mountainous patience, (18) kindest to the household, (19) pro-poor and many more qualities he left behind for his devotees and for all others to follow and practice.
Married: Aala Hazrat Pir Khan Sahib was married to a lady of honor of historically famous jadoon family of Rujaya Sharif, Havelian, Abbotabad. This family is exercising high social, political and religious status. Hazrat Pir Kamran Khan Sahib was the spiritual stalwart of this family of the braves, bold and forthright. Hazrat Pir Khan Sahib’s spouse was a person of piety. She was in fact Rabia Barsi Saani by virtue of her prayers and devotion to Allah Almighty.
Her funeral was attended by high dignitaries, Arab diplomats. The Islamabad- based Kuwait ambassador traveled to Aala Hazrat Pir Khan Sahib at Mohra Sharif, Murree and offered fateha with him over the sad demise of Hazrat Rabia Saani (RA). Her mazar is within family mausoleum compound at mohra Sharif. It was the rare Blessing and Grace of Almighty Allah that Amina, my daughter, remained whole night awake at the bedside of Aala Hazrat Qibla Maee Sahiba (RA) Mohra Sharif/ Murree. May Almighty Allah shower his Mercies and boundless Blessings on all through the spiritual pleasures of Hazrat Maee Sahiba (RA).
Where a spiritualist takes up his/her living abode that house, site. Place, area and location are visited by the humans of every thought, color, occupation, commons or influential’s of both genders.
The living abode is called in mystical terms Astana, Darbar, Pir Khana, etc. usually the spiritualists sit over a cotton cushion or rug. It is their seat where they receive the visitors. The seat is called Guddi denoting cushion seat. It is held in high in high respect by the devotees. The spiritualist is called Murshid, meaning one who shows the right path. It is a reversed nomenclature.
A murshid is a person who passes every moment of his breath in the remembrance of ALLAH Almighty. He is truthful, sincere, simple, approachable, having welcoming temperament and loyal towards ALLAH, lovable for the human beings. He is in fact intercessor between a mundane person and Almighty Allah.
An objection answered:
Some say that when every person is born of the divine sanction of ALLAH, then every born body is by virtue of that divine sanction naturally near to ALLAH Almighty. Then why one should need an intercessor/murshid, guide? Literally this seems a point of logic. But beneath its simplicity is hidden the truth worthy of comprehension. Here a distinction needs to be understood. That is, a person who lives in an all-time remembrance of Allah and one who does not fall in this category are not equal so far as the piety and devotion towards ALLAH are concerned. Therefore one who remembers Allah from breath to breath is by all comprehensions nearest to Allah. He is dearest to Allah, nearest because ALLAH wished him to be nearest to him.
